Ford F-150 available with four engine choices in the UAE

The Ford F-150 is renowned all over the world as one of the most complete pickup trucks. The Blue Oval’s truck is a true workhorse. Ford has now revealed the F-150 in the UAE in five trims and all over the F-150 range, customers will have the choice of four engines.

Let’s start with the headline maker - Ford's brand new 3.5-litre PowerBoost Full Hybrid V6 which combines the sturdiness of the V6 with a 44-horsepower electric motor which boasts regenerative braking that boosts the power and efficiency of the truck. The hybrid powertrain produces 430 horsepower and 772 Nm of torque. A very cool party piece of the hybrid F-150 is that customers will be able to charge their gadgets using Pro Power Onboard outlets available in the truck.

Moving on from the polar bear friendly hybrid to the tried and tested 5.0-litre V8 which thumps out 400 horsepower and 555 Nm torque. However, the V8 is not angry at all times as Ford’s Variable Displacement Engine (VDE) technology lets the V8 shut down half of its cylinders when not required.

The 3.5L EcoBoost V6 and 3.3-litre Ti-VCT V6 round off the engine options with the former producing 400 horsepower and 677 Nm of torque and the latter offering 290 horsepower and 359 Nm of torque.

No matter which engine you will choose, all of them will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission which features wide-span gear spacing and three overdrive gears. The F-150’s sturdy array of engine options and torture-tested high-strength steel frame means the Ford truck can handle whatever you throw at it.
