In an announcement made by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), public parking spaces across the emirate of Dubai will be free on Sunday (18th November 2018) to mark Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) birthday. According to the statement released by the RTA, parking in all zones will be free except for multi-level parking terminals, with regular tariffs resuming the following day.

Keeping in line with the occasion, all RTA customer happiness centers will be closed on Sunday, except for the branch at Umm Al Ramool and the RTA head office. RTA partner centers, including vehicle registration centers, will be closed on Sunday. With regards to public transport, timings of the Dubai Metro and tram will remain unaffected, continuing service without any change in timings.

Those relying on marine transport services should note that the traditional abra service will operate at Dubai Creek Stations (Baniyas, Dubai Old Souq, Al Seef) from 10AM to 12AM. The Sheikh Zayed Road abra station will be operational from 4PM to 10PM.
