During the festive period of Eid Al Adha, motorists in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will enjoy free parking for a duration of six days, from 19th August 2018 until 24th August 2018. In the follow-up to the holidays, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai and the Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi have announced that all public car parks will be free, except for multi-level parking garages with tariffs resuming from 25th August onwards. During the Eid holidays, motorists are reminded not to park their vehicles in prohibited areas or disrupt the flow of traffic around the city.

Public transport services will also operate with extended hours to accommodate the increased number of users relying on these modes during rush hours. The Dubai Metro Station’s Red Line will operate from 5AM to 2AM between 20th August to 23rd August and on 25th August, with operating hours on 24th August from 10AM to 2AM. The Dubai Metro Station’s Green Line will run from 5:30AM to 2AM on 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, and 25th August 2018, with reduced hours of 10AM to 2AM on 24th August.
