Free parking in Dubai and Abu Dhabi during Ramadan

In an official statement released by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai, parking will be free from 6pm to 8pm in all paid parking zones across the city. Split into two sessions, parking tariffs will be applicable from 8am till 6pm, and from 8pm till midnight on all days except Friday. In TECOM specifically, parking charges will apply from 8am till 6pm, Saturday through Thursday.

In the Capital city Abu Dhabi, residents and visitors will benefit from free parking between 2pm and 9pm all through the week. From Saturday to Wednesday, motorists will be charged for parking from 9am till 2pm and from 9pm till 2:30am. On Thursday, tariffs will apply from 9am till 2pm and from 9pm till 12am, with Friday continuing to be free.

The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT) in Abu Dhabi continued to stress that people attending Taraweeh prayers will be exempt from paying parking fees in the areas surrounding mosques during prayer times, provided they do not obstruct vehicles or the flow of traffic. It also added that motorists should adhere to the regulations regarding resident permit parking spaces from 9pm to 8am.
