-According to the transportation authority in Dubai, the metro services will operate with extended hours during Eid Al Adha 2023.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially declared that during the celebration of the Islamic festival Eid Al Adha 2023, public parking in Dubai will be accessible without any charges for a period of four days.

In accordance with the announcement made by the transport authority, parking will be exempt from charges starting from Tuesday, June 27, until Friday, June 30. However, authorities have specified that drivers will still be obligated to make payment for utilizing multi-story car parks.

Under normal circumstances, services are typically available from 5am to midnight, with an extension until 1am specifically on Fridays. However, during the Eid Al Adha holiday, the Red and Green line services will operate with altered timings for the convenience of passengers.

According to the official statement by the RTA, starting from Thursday to Saturday, the services will run from 5am to 1am, and on Sunday, they will operate from 8am to 1am, ensuring a smooth and effortless commute for passengers.

In observance of Eid Al Adha, employees in both the public and private sectors will be granted the longest holiday of the year, spanning four consecutive days, commencing on Tuesday.

Individuals who have a typical Saturday-Sunday weekend arrangement will enjoy an extended break of six days. Normal work routines are scheduled to resume on Monday, July 3, as employees return to their respective workplaces.

To facilitate the travel plans of individuals flying overseas during the holiday, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recommended utilizing Metro routes that offer direct connections to Dubai International Airport. As part of their travel preparation, the RTA has advised travelers to reach the airport at least four hours prior to their departure time.

Dubai International Airport is prepared for one of its busiest periods of the year, as the extensive Eid Al Adha break aligns with the customary summer season surge in travel.
