Free taxis for people of determination in Dubai

Introduced during the holy month of Ramadan and scheduled to run until the end of the year, Dubai Taxi Corporation of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has tied up with Al-Futtaim Motors Company to launch a new initiative targeted towards the people of determination in the UAE.

Part of the Al Khair Ride program sees dedicated taxis that have been specifically designed for wheelchair-bound passengers manned by highly trained drivers. The complimentary service is operational from Dubai Airports and other major landmarks and is available 24/7. Those who wish to avail the service may also do so by calling Dubai Taxi Corporation at +971 4 208 0808.
Yousef Al-Raeesi, CEO of Government Affairs at Al-Futtaim Motors said: “this initiative that we have launched with the RTA is to invigorate the noble values instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed. The initiative also encourages benevolence and humanitarian work among public and private entities.”
