GAC GS8 amazes audiences at Virtual Auto Show

The GAC GS8 is arguably one of China’s finest SUVs and takes prominent position in the brand’s booth at the region’s first-ever Virtual Auto Show. Flexing its muscles and ready to take on the industry heavyweights, the GS8 goes up against the likes of the American Ford Explorer, the Japanese Nissan Pathfinder, and the Korean Hyundai Santa Fe.

Styled to make a statement, the GS8 sits on large 19-inch alloy wheels and possesses the qualities of a true head turner with bold headlamps and taillamps. The floating roof gives way to big windows that offer unhindered views of the beautiful city both at day and night. The distinct ‘Trumpchi’ badges denote the GS8’s roots and stand for a literal translation of the word ‘Legend’ – something the GS8 is definitely set to become.

The 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that hides under the hood, produces 198 horsepower and an extremely respectable 320 Nm of torque. Pushing its grunt through a 6-speed automatic transmission, the GS8 averages just 6.8-liters for every 100 kilometers, proving its efficiency both on and off the tarmac.
