Global EVRT 2019 ready for kick off

Spanning 8 days, 2,000 kilometers and 2 countries, the third Global EVRT is ready for kick-off tomorrow morning (Thursday 17th Jan) and will see 12 electric vehicles along with 60 road trippers make their way across UAE and Oman.

The 2,000-kilometer journey will be covered in Teslas, Chevrolet Bolts, and Renault Zoes, and will attempt to educate consumers and inspire the transformation to sustainable travel. Part of the road trip also includes three e-mobility forums in Abu Dhabi on 17th January, in Muscat on 20th January, and in Dubai on 24th January.

“Following a cultural tour of the UAE capital, our drivers will descend on Yas Marina in the evening to take part in the first ever EV Drag Race at the iconic F1 circuit where the electric power pioneers will take on their gas guzzling cousins in a race to the finish”, says Ben Pullen, CEO of Global EVRT.

The itinerary for the road trip is as follows:

17th January: Launch of EVRT Middle East at the WFES e-Mobility Forum in Abu Dhabi and EV drag race at Yas Marina Circuit. 18th January: 520km road trip from Abu Dhabi to Muscat. 19th January: Tour of Wadi Shab in Oman 20th January: Tour of Muscat city and e-Mobility Forum 21st January: 450km road trip from Muscat to Ras Al Khaimah 22nd January: 180km road trip from Ras Al Khaimah to Dubai 23rd January: Cultural tour of Dubai 24th January: Grand finale and e-Mobility Forum in Dubai Sustainable City
