Good driver wins Chevrolet Cruze from Dubai Police

An Indian private sector employee won a Chevrolet Cruz from Dubai’s traffic police for collecting enough white points, making him an ideal driver in the emirate.

Dubai traffic police chief Major General Mohammed Al Zafin said “We honour 700 drivers who collect the maximum limit of white points every year but we intend to increase that number to 1,000”,  adding that one car will also be rewarded.

Jaysaleen, the winner, said he couldn’t believe it when he received the phone call from the police telling him he won, adding that his family and kids were very happy and that he is planning on throwing a party after receiving the car.

Dubai Police introduced the white points system a few years ago to encourage better driving in the UAE in hopes of decreasing the number of accidents and traffic violations.
