Gray Design Sidewinder is a 600-hp big-block sand blaster

I give you the Sidewinder; it is the work of Eduard Gray of Gray Design. Powering this dune buggy on a so called 8.4-liter Chevy LSX crate engine producing a smashing 630 hp and 600 pounds of torque, that is enough to make this go from 0-60 in just 4.2 seconds…on sand! This leaves the Ford Raptor in the dust!

Now to keep this stable and controllable it uses a “robot suspension” which has boxed chromoly arms, anti-sway bars front and rear, and KING bypass shocks. The body is made out of carbon and was done at the former Saab prototype workshop and they used an existing sand rail chassis for the base. Gray even got together with Scandinavian firm Swedspot to design an Android-based system for the OLED infotainment and instrument screens.
