The Shanghai Auto Show is one of the biggest auto shows on the planet where domestic and international carmakers showcase their offerings to the world and most importantly, the Chinese people.

Great Wall Motors is one of the leading Chinese brands and it unveiled its five major brands HAVAL, TANK, ORA, POER, and WEY at the 20th edition of the show along with a whole host of new energy vehicles.

Under the TANK brand, GWM unveiled the TANK400 PHEV and TANK500 PHEV. The former made its world debut while the latter is a medium-to-large luxury off-roader and will be coming soon to the Middle East in May 2023. The TANK500’s main attraction is its clever all-wheel drive system that adapts itself according to the road conditions.

The ORA brand revealed two pure electric models. For those of you who just remembered, yes it's responsible for ‘Cat’ named cars like the Thunder Cat and Ballet Cat. Cute.

GWM’s HAVAL brand unveiled its superstar medium new energy SUV dubbed "Fierce Dragon MAX" in the Chinese market that looks to make use of the carmaker’s Hi4 (Hybrid Intelligent 4WD) and exhibits a futuristic design language. Last but not the least, a new 6x6 pickup and large high-performance hybrid pickup named Shanhai PHEV/HEV was launched under the POER brand.

Parker Shi, the Vice President and the Head of international market of GWM, commented: "Based on GWM Intelligent NEV’s philosophy ‘Greener, Higher, and Safer’, GWM will rely on the forest ecosystem to accelerate technology iteration and product upgrading and provide global users with more high-quality and intelligent new-energy products."
