Honda Accord 2015 Launched in UAE

Posted by Hassan Siddiqi on Aug 25, 2014

Honda Accord 2015 launched today in Dubai and is now available in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC showrooms. The facelift has made several improvements to it's 2.4 liter version, while the 3.5 liter version has a few cosmetic changes. We drove the 2014 Honda Accord last year and it left us with a few questions on the 2.4 liter version, which explains all the latest improvements!

Pricing information was not officially given, although we did call up one of their showrooms and got the prices for you (updated here).

Key Changes Include:

- 2.4 liter Honda Accord will now have Direct Injection and CVT Transmission, improving power to 185 HP from 173 HP and improving torque to 245 NM from 225 NM.

- Honda has assured us that the CVT engine will not make too much noise, something we need to verify in our test drive. We did however test the same CVT transmission in the new 2015 Honda City for which you can read the review

- The CVT transmission translates to 7% claimed improvement in fuel efficiency.

- Linear acceleration is claimed to have improved significantly, again something we need to verify in our test drive.

- 3.5 liter Sport model will now have LED lights inside and electric parking brake.

- Hill Start Assist will now be offered on both 2.4 liter and 3.5 liter models.

- The Sedan model of 2015 Honda Accord will now be coming from China, instead of US. The Coupe however, will continue to come from US.
