The Honda Civic 2016 is the talk of the town these days. After initial spy shots came out, the internet went mad and the Honda fanboys couldn’t keep control of themselves. It is, after all, the icon of Honda in addition to the Accord. One more reason for this uncontrollable excitement is the fact that the Honda has done a great job designing the new generation Civic. This is not a surprising considering the obvious design flaws with the previous generation. The thing did not look like a Civic at all. Instead, it was an enlarged Honda City.

Coming to the car itself, the 2016 Honda Civic has already been released in some markets and the information is all over the internet. The biggest news regarding the new Civic is the engine. Honda has ditched the old school 1.8 liter engine and instead replaced it with two engine options. The base model will have the 2.0 liter naturally aspirated engine that produces 158 BHP and 138 pound-feet of torque. The top-spec trim gets the 1.5 liter turbocharged engine. Yes, the Civic will now be turbocharged as well. The 1.5 liter produces 174 BHP and 162 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are mated to a CVT gearbox to save fuel.

The new Civic has gone for a FastBack image and is not a traditional sedan anymore. As for the dimensions, the car is 182.3 inches long, 70.8 inches wide and 55.7 inches high. The wheelbase is 106.3 inches long. The cargo volume is a respectable 425 liters. We are still not sure about the Honda Civic 2016 prices in the UAE. But in the US, the new generation is being priced at around 20,000 USD for the base model and 22,000 USD for the top-spec trim.
