Exterior

Modern yet instantly recognizable, the all-new model features a more intimidating design with muscular haunches and sharper lines lending it a purposeful stance. Interior

Retaining the dash-mounted gear lever of its predecessors, the Honda CR V offers the unmatched quality that the marque is renowned for, while targeting a younger audience with a tablet-like infotainment screen and a customizable instrument cluster display. Refined in ways more than one, the CR V shines on the practicality front with ample amounts of head and leg room for all occupants, a flat floor for rear seat occupants, and a whopping 589-liters of cargo space concealed behind the second row.

Safety & Tech

Awarded a Top Safety Pick from the IIHS, the CR V is fitted with a plethora of safety features that include, six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, blind spot monitoring that comes in the form of Honda’s LaneWatch system, and hill-start assist to prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards when on an incline. On the feature front, the compact crossover packs a height adjustable liftgate, remote engine starter, walk-away locking system, satellite navigation, dual climate control, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.

Drive

Residing under the hood of the Honda CR V 2017 is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that uses the benefit of direct injection to produce 184 horsepower and 244 Nm of torque. Catered to comfortably transporting families around town, it isn’t as concerned with its 0 – 100 km/h time of 9.8-seconds, as it is with its fuel economy rating of 14.7 kilometers / liter.

Mimicking the shift pattern of an automatic transmission, the second-generation CVT is accompanied by the likes of an Eco drive mode and brake hold feature that make tackling the daily gridlock infinitely easier. For more consistent braking and greater stopping power, electronic brake boosters replace the traditional vacuum servos and aid the ventilated discs upfront and solid discs at the rear to carry out their duties.
