How the 2017 Ford Raptor makes you a better driver

Raptor, Raptor, Raptor - the name to bless off-road forums the world over. Although Ford’s latest iteration of the ultimate off-road vehicle hasn’t made its way to showrooms yet, the American brand is getting pretty darn good at dispatching bits and pieces of information since it debuted at the Detroit Auto Show over a year ago.

The newest update, relates to the 2017 Ford Raptor’s Fox Racing Shox, which according to the brand, are even better than the ones found in the previous model. The shock absorbers have grown from 2.5 inches to 3.0 inches in diameter, while a 44% increase in volume sees better heat dissipation and fade resistance.
Taller shock absorbers, also increase suspension travel in the 2017 Ford Raptor from 11.2 inches to 13.0 inches up front, and from 12.0 inches to 13.9 inches in the rear. Additionally, the all-new Raptor is expected to abandon its 6.2-liter V8 engine for a much smaller displacement 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6.

Churning out 450 horsepower while being mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, the Raptor 2017 will kick out 39 horsepower more than its predecessor while boasting a terrain management system that will carry out alterations to the throttle response, steering, and four-wheel drive system.
While we sit here in anticipation for the all-new model to arrive in the Middle East, we're confident that it's going to be worth the wait!
