Jackie Sobhani, admin of the GTZ Motor Club (Official Nissan Sports Car Club of the UAE), and an esteemed member of Fliptuned and Gumball 7 - Tuners & Muscles, talks to us about his motoring passion and his stunning 2009 Nissan 350Z!

Name:
Jackie Sobhani

Vehicle you own:
2009 Nissan 350Z

What got you into cars:
I have been into cars for as long as I can remember. It all started when I was child and my father bought me a hot-wheels 3 pack. I would end up playing with them all day and then gradually moved on to RC Cars - I ended up putting quite a few of them into the walls of my living room! Additionally, racing anime like Wangan Midnight & Initial D, movies like the F&F franchise and shows like Top Gear & Motor Trend, are all guilty of adding fuel to the automotive fire within me.

What’s unique about your car:
Sigh, where do I start? The Z33 is a pretty capable car from the factory, but Nissan engineers are guilty of getting a little lazy towards the end! Performance modifications include Motordyne ART pipes and an Invidia Gemini true-dual exhaust. To make it a better corner-carver, the stock suspension has been switched out with Tein Flex-Z coilovers, Voodoo13 rear camber arms and a GT-spec tie bar.

The Stoptech Stage 2 kit lends a hand at braking. The kit includes Stoptech SS brake lines, Stoptech slotted rotors with high-performance pads and Motul RBF660 brake fluid. The only piece of equipment retained from the stock system, are the Brembo brake calipers.

ARP extended wheel studs were added to safely mount the aggressive Work CR Kai Kiwami wheels, measuring 18x9.5 +20 front and 18x10.5 +22 rear. These wheels are too precious for me to not secure them properly!

On the outside, things are kept pretty simple. Modifications are limited to a Nismo front lip, Veilside side-skirts and Top Secret carbon fiber diffuser. I have also deleted the rear-wiper (it looked hideous!) while on the inside, the stock center console has been replaced by a carbon fiber unit.

What upgrades do you have in the pipeline:

Far, far too many! As we speak, I have ordered a Mines front lip and 2-step hood dampers. My new set of Work Wheels (Gnosis CV2), Whiteline performance bushing kit and Bride racing seat are already here.  New upgrades in-line are Z1 Motorsport intakes, a Sparco harness bar and harness, GT-spec mid and fender chassis braces, Voodoo13 front control arms, Hotchikis sway-bars, rewrapping the steering wheel in Alcantara, and a full respray. Following the above, a proper alignment, corner-balancing and an Uprev tune should keep me happy, for the time being at least.

Name one car you’d swap yours for:
Oh boy, this might just be the hardest question of them all! After much thought, I have to say, there is just one car I would swap it for, the 911 Porsche GT3 RS (991).
