The Infiniti Q30, which marks a new milestone for the Japanese brand, is a product that is targeted at the well-heeled population of the UAE. Regarded as the first premium active compact in the Infiniti line-up, the segment it targets is as ambiguous as its positioning.

With the dimensions of a crossover, the styling of a hatchback, and the sloping roofline of a coupe, the Infiniti Q30 is not a segment specific offering. The double arch grille and double wave hood, are elegant additions which help attribute the Q30 as part of the brand’s line-up.

Built on the Mercedes-Benz GLA platform, the Infiniti Q30 shares a great amount with its German rival. Aesthetically, it borrows several bits and pieces including but not limited to, the A/C control switches, the gear lever, the seat adjustment controls, and the iconic Mercedes-Benz smart key.

Mechanically, the Infiniti Q30 is equipped with one of two engine options – a 1.6 liter or a 2.0 liter. While both engines are four-cylinder units and receive the turbocharge treatment, the former churns out 154 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, while the latter produces 208 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque.

Available in 9 exterior hues and 4 interior colors, the Infiniti Q30 from Al Masaood Automobiles, comes with a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty and wears a starting price of AED 105,000. For the fully-loaded, All-Wheel-Drive variant, you can expect to shell out AED 151,000.
