Infiniti unveils Q50 and QX30 ahead of 2017 Dubai Motor Show

Posted by Zaran Tarapore on Nov 3, 2017

In a private viewing ahead of the upcoming Dubai International Motor Show, Infiniti took the covers off the refreshed Q50 Sedan and the funky, all-new QX30 crossover. The enhanced sports sedan retains its sleek proportions and athletic stance of the outgoing model, while the QX30 caters to the needs of an upcoming niche in the crossover market.

“At INFINITI we seek to empower our customers on their journey and experience with us through our product offering as well as our forward-looking technologies. The introductions of the Q50 as well as the all-new QX30 are two vehicles that will continue to deliver on this promise to our customers,” said Juergen Schmitz, Managing Director, INFINITI Middle East.

Coinciding with the refreshed and sportier look of the new Q50, is the introduction of subtle changes to the interior and a new grade structure: Luxe, Sport, Blue Sport, Red Sport 400. The ‘Sport’ grade adds performance oriented aesthetic bits, while the most powerful engine makes an appearance exclusively in ‘Red Sport 400’ garb.

Catered to a new generation of premium buyers, the QX30 makes a bold visual statement and joins the Q30 as part of the brand’s compact model line-up. The highly sculpted exterior, unique stance, and asymmetric cabin design exemplifies the brand’s design-led approach while working as a strong reminder of the Mercedes Benz GLA.

Sat 45mm higher than its Q30 sibling, the QX30 holds a unique position in its segment, bridging the gap between premium compact models and larger crossover models. Equipped with an all-wheel-drive system, the 2.0-liter turbo engine delivers 208 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque through a 7-speed automatic transmission.

While both models will be on display at the Dubai Motor Show from 14th to 18th November, the highly anticipated refreshed QX80 might accompany them, if speculation is anything to go by…
