Infiniti unveils stylish QX55: The perfect crossover coupe

Infiniti has unveiled the QX55 and it might just be all the car you need. From its bold and stylish looks to its practicality and in-cabin experience, the QX55 scores in nearly every facet.

For starters, the QX55 has a crossover-like body and looks like the perfect urban utilitarian vehicle. Its Digital Piano Key taillights, which combine 45 separate LEDs into a single housing, and LED headlights add to the stylish looks of the car. The elegantly flowing lines, limited-edition double-arch grille and 20 inch wheels are the cherry on a very good cake.

The QX55 is powered by a Variable Compression Turbo four-cylinder engine that produces 268 horsepower. It is Infiniti’s award winning engine and is coupled with a manual gearbox here which feeds power to all four wheels of the car.

Step inside and you will be welcomed by an asymmetrical cabin design which might look odd at first, but spend some time with it and you will see the blend of comfort and luxury it offers. One can easily connect their phone with the car thanks to Android Auto and Apple Car Play and access their favourite apps without even using their hands.

You can choose between Leatherette, leather, or semi-aniline leather trim for the seats of the car. The second row of seats easily slide around to give increased legroom and more boot space, when required. The QX55 also gets three driving modes - Standard, Eco, Sport and Personal.

For the perfect sound on those long UAE road trips, the QX55 has Bose speakers. Talking about road trips, the Infiniti has a pretty big boot as well which can take care of nearly everyone’s luggage on a long drive.

Safety wise, the QX55 is pretty well loaded with features like Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Prevention System, Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection to Blind Spot Warning and Intervention and Backup Collision Intervention.

Following the car’s debut in the Middle East market, Infiniti Middle East organised a special drive where it invited all the journalists and media people to experience the QX55 in a drive which concluded at G.O.A.T Burger in the cosmopolitan Dubai Design District. 

The Infiniti QX55 will be available in three variants: Luxe, Essential and Sensory.
