Installment Fine Payment Introduced in Abu Dhabi

Posted by Zaran Tarapore on Aug 27, 2020

Residents in Abu Dhabi can now pay fines in installments without any interest for an entire year while holding accounts with five popular banks. Abu Dhabi Police has introduced the scheme by partnering with five banks in the UAE to allow drivers to pay traffic fines in parts as per their affordability.

The banks include Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Mashreq Al Islami, and Emirates Islamic Bank. To avail the installment payment service, motorists must have credit cards issued by one of these banks. A motorist has to contact the bank directly, within a period not exceeding two weeks from the date of being booked, to request for payment of traffic fines in installments.

Authorities have called on the public to take advantage of the installment facility because it was easier and convenient for many motorists.
