Interview with Nasif Siddiqi – Managing Director of INFINITI Motor Company International Markets

Q) What have been the effects of the ongoing pandemic for Infiniti Middle East and how have you handled it?

I think the pandemic has truly changed the world we live in and the effects will remain with us long after. As a result of the pandemic many industries including ours, have learned to transform their businesses including how we work, where we work, and of course how we interact with our current and future customers. Some of the initiatives we are engaged in include pick up and drop off services for customers in need of vehicle servicing, at-home test drive opportunities, as well as our new INFINITI configurator which brings the showroom to you, so you can engage with our brand in the environment where you are most comfortable. 

Q) What is the most important model from your line-up for the Middle East market and why?

While all our models cater to different needs and individuals our flagship model is our full-size SUV, the INFINITI QX80. This model speaks to both the business executive with the seven-seater option as well as the entire family with the eight-seater configuration. This powerful yet elegant model caters to our most discerning customers in the Middle East market, offering no compromise between luxury, comfort, and performance.

Q) With just one sedan and coupe currently in the line-up, are there plans to include more in the coming years?

INFINITI will continue to offer a full line-up of models with our blend of daring design, inspiring performance, and innovative technology. We are currently looking forward to welcoming our all-new QX55 which was teased on the 5th of August.  

Q) What can you tell us about the upcoming QX55 and its arrival in the region?

As mentioned above the car was first teased globally on the 5th of August this year and we greatly look forward to welcoming this vehicle to our market. The product speaks to bold INFINITI design, taking inspiration from the iconic FX and we anticipate it will be well received in the Middle East.

Q) Finally, cars such as the FX Vettel Edition played a vital role in positioning Infiniti as a fun, enthusiast brand. Are there any plans to introduce more such models?

We are always hard at work on future product ideas that will inspire and engage our customers as well as brand enthusiasts. Currently, our high-performance RED SPORT line offered on our Q50 sedan and our Q60 Coupe provide customers with a unique offering in these segments. INFINITI remains committed to delivering products that pair our daring designs with engaging driving experiences. As part of that, we are on the horizon of rolling out a wave of new products starting with the QX55 which will be revealed on November 11th this year.
