Britain’s largest automotive manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover, embraces Virtual Reality technology to sell its vehicles to its expanding customer base in the region. Offering a 360-degree view of the vehicle, both inside and out, Virtual Reality allows for customers to inspect newly launched vehicles long before they arrive to their local showroom.

Andy Goss, Jaguar Land Rover Group Sales Operations Director, said: “As if our vehicles weren’t exciting enough already, this new way of buying a car will engage customers further with our innovative capabilities. The VR Experience will also help retailers to break the ice with customers and inject even more fun into the process of buying a Jaguar Land Rover vehicle.”

To be introduced across more than 1,500 retailers in 85 markets and localized in 20 languages, the VR experience is expected to be made available by the end of the month to immerse customers in each new vehicle the company launches. Using the newest of technologies, the headset will take customers on a journey ‘under the hood’, with the help of compelling animations to tell the technical stories which make the vehicle unique.

The first trial of the technology was held at the launch of the Jaguar F-Pace in the UK last year, and will be used to accompany each new vehicle launched during 2017, starting with the all-new and highly anticipated Land Rover Discovery.
