Jaguar Land Rover SVO benefit from dedicated Technical Center

Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) recently opened its new Technical Center in the heart of the British Midlands. The 20,000m2 facility, costs a whopping £20m (AED 97,000,000 approx.) and houses manufacturing, paint and presentation zones, all while serving as the headquarters of SVO.

John Edwards, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations, said: “The new Special Vehicle Operations Technical Centre is a major step forward in meeting the desires of our most discerning customers. There are more than 200 skilled employees here that are committed to outstanding quality and craftsmanship in everything they do.”
At a later point in time, it is expected that customers will be invited to the Technical Center’s Commissioning Suite by invitation, to explore the unlimited possibilities when it comes to customizing their Jaguar or Land Rover vehicles. Part of the process, will also include having a color-matching specialist on hand to accurately match shades of any item the customer wishes.

Greg Clark, Director of Vehicle Personalization said: “Our brand new facility delivers industry leading quality, precision and choice. We will encourage customers to participate in the design of their own vehicles, to give a real sense of emotional connection to something that they have created; something unique.”
The quality and attention to detail at the new Technical Center can be compared to the top quality standards found in motorsports. The largest zone, is the innovative Paint Facility which measures 12,000m2 and features a mindboggling 546m of conveyor belts.
