Jaguar launches 'virtual widescreen' concept

Jaguar Land Rover have really sped up their R&D and introduced a variety of prototype technologies. One such example is of a virtual widescreen. In simple words, it is a like any other widescreen with a heads-up display. But this display is not limited to speed and navigation. Instead, this display, meant for track use, is highly inspired from the video games allowing the driver to look at his/her current speed, track layout and other info in real time without taking eyes off the road. Moreover, it displays the optimal racing line like in games, complete with the braking and acceleration zone. The innovation doesn’t end there as Jaguar wants to display a ghost car thus allowing the drivers to race with themselves to improve their track time. This, coupled with eye tracking technology, will basically blur the lines between racing in video games and real life. Have a look at this innovative concept below:
