A Mega-GT in every way possible, Koenigsegg conducted a surprise reveal of its new Gemera – the company’s first-ever four-seater model – despite the cancellation of the Geneva International Motor Show. Comfortable for four passengers and their carry-on luggage, the Gemera sports a wheelbase of 3 meters, ensuring there’s plenty of space inside.

As expected from the brand’s first four-seater offering, the cabin of the Gemera is packed with creature comforts like multiple infotainment screens, multiple wireless chargers, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a 11-speaker state of the art sound system.

The main highlight of the beautiful Gemera is its new plug-in hybrid powertrain that produces a combined 1,700 horsepower and 3,500 Nm of torque. Yes, those numbers are correct and are made possible by three electric motors working in conjunction with a twin-turbo 2.0-liter engine. Koenigsegg claims that although the Gemera is a “Mega-GT”, it can still outperform several hyper cars with 0-100km/h in 1.9-seconds and 0-400km/h in record-matching paces.

The carbon monocoque chassis of the Koenigsegg Gemera employs rear-wheel steering and all-wheel torque vectoring, combining stability on the highway with agility on the corners, as well as the widest adaptability that comes with employing more than one electric motor. Limited to just 300 examples, the Gemera is expected to cost approximately $1 million (AED 3,670,000).
