Replacing the current Land Rover LR4, the all-new Discovery is set to be unveiled at the upcoming Paris Motor Show and has been spotted undergoing rigorous testing all across the globe, including the intimidating sand dunes of Dubai.

Closely mimicking the styling of the Discovery Vision Concept, the Land Rover Discovery 2017 is expected to be lighter than its predecessor, weighing in at under two tons. With a stepped roofline – a distinct styling trait of all previous models – and sharp contours adorning the bodywork, the all-new Discovery is set to be the sleekest Discovery yet.

Underpinning the 2017 Discovery will be an aluminum monocoque that aids in keeping weight at a minimum. While no official word on the engine line-up is out as yet, we can expect to find a trusty 3.0-liter V6 engine under the hood possibly working in harmony with a supercharger.
