Continuously Variable Valve Timing and Direct Fuel Injection technologies also help boost fuel efficiency.

Style Changes

The new Silverado comes with a restyled one piece bumper from wheel to wheel, a wider grille and restyled headlamps. Crew cab rear doors are now wider to enable easier access and increased rear legroom of 2 inches. Crew cab box is now larger in size and will be offered as a 6'6 for increased cargo capacity. Finally wheel sizes range from 17 inch steel for the Work Truck to 22 inch chrome aluminum wheels for the full options model.

Interior Options

All models come equipped with MyLink infotainment system where you can connect up to 10 devices at the same time. Standard on LT and LTZ models will be an 8 inch LCD high resolution touch screen with radio options to select up to 60 favorites in radio. Higher spec versions also include a USB drive with navigation maps.

Increased Safety Features

A lot of new safety features exclusive to the segment have been introduced in the 2014 Silverado. Standard features include 6 airbags with 360 degree sensor system, 3 point seat belts in rear seats and LATCH system anchors for child seats. Segment exclusive safety technologies include Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert and vibrating Safety Alert Seat. These are offered depending on trim levels.
