It was a rainy day at the Marina Bay Circuiton on Saturday but that did not stop the fans from witnessing what can be the best qualifying session of this season for the Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton, after making a costly mistake at turn one, somehow managed to edge past his team mate Nico Rosberg to score the pole position by 0.007 seconds. Rounding up the top 3 was Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo.

Hamilton has already won 6 times in this season and needs one more crucial win to close the gap between him and Rosberg as there are only 6 more races remaining. Luck, however, seems to be on Hamilton’s side as judging by the statistics, 4 times in the past 6 years, the Singapore GP has been won by the pole-sitter.
