At an event like none before, Al-Futtaim Lexus launched the all-new UX200 in an automated parking lot located in Dubai’s financial district. Lending the event, the urban, youthful touch that the brand’s newest crossover brings with it, were beatboxers, dance performances, and rap music befitting a high-end nightclub.

Designed by Ms. Chika Kako, Executive Vice President of Lexus International and the first female Chief Engineer, the Lexus UX is based on a concept called “Cross-Create”, which creates harmony between ‘a robust body characteristic of a crossover SUV’ and ‘a strong contrasting glamourous shine’. Essentially, designed for the urban explorer who’s searching for a dynamic take on luxury driving.

Built from Lexus’ first Global Architecture Compact platform, the UX features a low center of gravity making it nimble and emphasizing high agility. With a front-wheel-drive configuration, the UX is powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that is mated to a 10-step Direct Shift Continuously Variable Transmission (D-CVT) and offers a Drive Select controller with five unique drive modes.

Mohammed Maktari, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Lexus, said: “This newest addition to our line-up is inspired by the vibrant energy of urban environments and is Lexus’ reflection of the ongoing quest to create amazing experiences. This car is designed with the young at heart and aspiring urbanites in mind, who are looking to join the world of Lexus through this unique luxury compact crossover.”

Available in 13 distinctive colors, the all-new Lexus UX allows buyers to express their individuality with two exclusive colors for the F SPORT version. Three newly-developed exterior colors, Terrane Khaki Mica Metallic, Blazing Carnelian Contrast Layering, and Celestial Blue Glass Flake, further evoke the luxurious and glamorous atmosphere.

The new UX is available across all Al-Futtaim Lexus showrooms in the UAE in three grades: UX 200 Premier, UX 200 F Sport Prestige and UX 200 F Sport Platinum for AED 150,000, AED 160,000, and AED 180,000 respectively, inclusive of VAT.
