Lincoln reveals all-new Corsair

The Lincoln Corsair is a small luxury SUV that serves as an entry into the Lincoln family for many. And so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Corsair has been the brand’s best selling vehicle. Now, Lincoln has unveiled an all-new version of the Corsair for 2023.

Before we move forward, there is one big elephant in the room - the Corsair is basically a Ford Escape underneath. With Lincoln being the luxury brand of Ford, this kind of connection is understandable. Right, let’s get to what’s new then.

On the outside, the Corsair gets a larger grille and wing-shaped daytime running lamps. Two new exterior colors are also available, namely, Crystal Red and Whisper Blue.

Step inside and you will find an instrument cluster below the 13.2-inch screen. Lincoln will provide buyers the option of two interior themes for the Corsair - Smoked Truffle and Eternal Red. According to Lincoln, choosing the former will give the car “a warmer, rich environment with medium-dark soft trim accents” while the latter creates “a more youthful, fresh look” for the cabin.

The Corsair is set to come with Alexa Built-in with complimentary connectivity to Alexa for three years. With this service, customers will be able to interact with Alexa using voice commands like “Alexa, find the closest gas station,” or “Alexa, play my road trip playlist.”

Lincoln’s next gen ActiveGlide 1.2 hands-free advanced driver assistance system will be available on the Corsair with driver aids like lane change assist, predictive speed assist and in-lane repositioning.

“Corsair is artistically crafted and expertly designed to attract younger Lincoln clients and give them the luxury experience they desire,” said Michael Sprague, North America director, Lincoln. “We want the drive experience to be even more effortless and personal and the new Corsair will deliver that with advanced technology and new features.”
