Mahmood Al Waleed And His Brawny Jeep Wrangler

The Jeep community is a very large and very unique one, with people of all ages sharing the same passion. Today, we speak to Mahmood Al Waleed, a man who has spent plenty of time customizing his Jeep to make it truly his. It is special and definitely does stand out from the rest.

What car do you currently drive? 

I drive a SWB Jeep Wrangler JK and it has been my trusty companion for quite a few years now.

Have you owned any interesting cars in the past? 

I have owned quite a few Jeeps and a 1989 Land Rover Defender. I guess you could say I love my off-roaders?

What got you into cars? 

I guess it’s my dad who played a big role in getting me into cars. He used to modify and sell quite a few of them.

What is unique about your car? Have you customized it in any way? 

I don’t think a Jeep should be kept stock for long and so I have customized my Wrangler with many additions including a custom hood design, Kings Suspension, Cooper off-road tires, some bronze aftermarket alloys, and a few off-road lights as well. However, while I have installed most of the parts myself and would like to think that my car has a unique design, I have started seeing a lot of other Jeeps out there who seem to have taken a lot of inspiration from my design, haha.

Do you have any upgrades or modifications in the pipeline? 

For now, I’m really happy with my car the way it is, however, I have been contemplating installing some automatic side steps to make getting in and out a little easier, and also adding a diamond-stitched design to the interior.

Tell me one car you would swap your current car for? 

Would it be strange if I didn’t want another of-roader? I think I might go for a Mazda RX-7!
