Maserati Alfieri Concept unveiled at Geneva

Posted by on Mar 6, 2014

Maserati only has one 2-door model to show for its creating capability of sports cars and that doesn’t sit well with the Italian marquee. That is about to change with the introduction of its new concept at the Geneva Motor show called Alfieri.

First of all, it is a concept car so it is not going into production any time soon. But, what it does show is what Maserati holds in the future and by the looks of it, it’s good. It is shorter than the GranTurismo and packs the same 4.7 liter V8 producing 460 bhp mated to a 6-speed sequential gearbox.

The gorgeous design was inspired the 1954 Maserati A6 GCS-53 but fitted with LED lamps covered in liquid-metal paintjob. It was done under the supervision of Lorenzo Ramaciotti – the chief designer for Pininfarina/Fiat Group responsible for designing the Quattroporte. Got to hand it to you Mr. Ramaciotti, you have good taste.
