As part of its plan to electrify its entire line-up, Maserati has started the testing phase of its new full electric propulsion systems that will debut on the upcoming and all-new GranTurismo and GranCabrio models. Built in the Innovation Lab in Modena, the new and innovative powertrain, which is completely electric, will be the basis for all upcoming models.

As part of the testing process, Maserati engineers are also working towards giving the electric powertrain a distinctive sound that will differentiate it from everything else out there. The aim is to provide customers with 100% electric propulsion vehicles that will combine driving pleasure, comfort and performance with a unique and unmistakable sound.

Thanks to the tests conducted in various conditions of use on both road and track, important data will be acquired for the development and definition of the new electric powertrains, which will be used for future models in the Maserati range.
