McLaren Unveils Its Largest Showroom Ever In Dubai: Featuring 750S and Artura

Posted by Ahmad Rashad Al Zeer on Oct 12, 2023

In the heart of Dubai, McLaren has opened its biggest standalone showroom ever. It's a massive space, about 10,225 square feet, which is roughly the size of 20 average-sized apartments. This showroom is right next to McLaren's largest service center in the world, which opened up shop in 2022, and in Dubai located on Sheikh Zayed Road. Therefore, they have a strong base in their biggest market in this part of the world.

This place is special. Among over a hundred McLaren spots all over the globe, this one stands out. When you step inside, you'll see a big area where McLaren displays their incredible cars, like a fancy car art gallery. They also have a special place called the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) studio. It's like a workshop where they craft personalized cars for people.

McLaren has set up this showroom right next to their biggest service center in the world. It's run by a team of skilled engineers who know everything there is to know about McLaren cars. Together, they've got more than 40 years of experience. These folks can take care of up to 150 cars every month.

Introducing the New McLaren 750S

When they opened this showroom, they also introduced the McLaren 750S to the Middle East. It's the newest and improved version of its older sibling the McLaren 720S. Under the hood, there's a powerful 4.0-liter V8 engine, all turbocharged, giving it a wild 740 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque force. It's got a fancy seven-speed gearbox that sends power straight to the back wheels.

Step on the gas, and in just 2.7 seconds, the 750S rockets to 60 miles per hour. It's quick in both the coupe and convertible styles. Going from 0 to 125 mph takes just over 7 seconds. The convertible takes a tiny bit longer to hit 186 mph – about 20 seconds. Either way, both types can reach a top speed of 206 mph.

The price tag for the coupe is about $324,000, and there's also an accessory pack that's around $2,240. If you're eyeing the Spider, it starts at $345,000. And guess what? These cars are so popular that they're sold out all the way into 2024!

At this showroom, they're also showing off the Artura hybrid, a high-performance car. It's different because it doesn't have the usual V8 engine. Instead, it's got a smaller twin-turbo V6 and an electric motor. Together, they pack a punch of 671 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of twist. The electric motor gets its power from a 7.4-kilowatt-hour battery. It's a fusion of power and efficiency.
