Meet the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato: the ultimate go-anywhere supercar

We’ve got one good news and one bad news for you today coming from Lamborghini, which one would you like to hear first? The good one? Lamborghini has unveiled the ultimate go-anywhere supercar in the form of the Huracan Sterrato. Pretty cool, right?

Now onto the bad news - the Italian supercar brand will be bidding adieu to pure combustion engines with the Sterrato. But let’s hold our tears and keep the tissue paper aside because Lambo really knows how to say goodbyes.

Let’s talk about the off road stuff first because that’s the main attraction with the Sterrato. Compared to the Huracan Evo, the Sterrato has a 1.7-inch suspension lift providing more suspension travel. On top of the usual Lambo driving modes - Strada and Sport - there’s also an Off-Road mode on offer here for obvious reasons. It sits on Bridgestone Dueller All-Terrain 002 tyres.

The Huracan Sterrato packs the much-loved naturally aspirated 5.2-litre engine seen in other Huracan models but here it produces 602 horsepower and 560 Newton-meters of torque making the supercar capable of hitting 62mph in 3.4 seconds.

The power output is a bit low compared to the car’s siblings and the top speed is also limited to 162 mph but that’s to allow the Sterrato to rule the sand and gravel.

Not much info is available about the interior though Lambo says there won’t be many changes apart from the special type of Alcantara developed specifically for the Sterrato called ‘Verde Sterrato.’ Some proper off-roading instruments like an inclinometer, pitch and roll indicator, steering angle indicator are also on offer.

Customers will get the chance to customize their Sterrato the way they want with "almost unlimited" possibilities thanks to 350 exterior colors and 65 interior shades available under Lambo’s Ad Personam program.

Only 1,499 supercars will be made with production starting in February 2023. Pricing will be revealed in due course of time.
