Mercedes A Class and G Class launched at Qatar Motor Show 2016

Phlip Mayling - Head of Sales at Mercedes-Benz announced the facelifted A-Class at the Qatar Motor Show and he had this to say.

"Since the introduction of the hot hatch from MB in 2013, the A Class demand has exceeded all our expectations. Now, our new generation A Class is a car is a manifest of success and fits with the aspirations of a modern, young and urban generation. 

For this year, Mercedes Benz has extended the range of the vehicle’s engines, the A250 is now providing a peak output of 155KW which is well over 200Bhp.

Curved surfaces following the design philosophy of sensual party characterized the exterior of the new A Class. With a dynamic sporty interior characterizing the interior of the car with a touch of an 8-inch free standing display. The new A Class is a car of powerful performance and athletic design, the new A Class takes care of the needs of a confident individual."

Lennart Müller-Teut - Head of Marketing & Communications launched the all-new G500 4x4. 

On the G-Class, Lennart indicated that the Middle East has become one of the most important markets for the segment. In 2013, MB launched the G63 AMG 6x6. The success of the vehicle was very exciting for us at Mercedes Benz which accounted for 41% of Mercedes Benz sales in the region, said Mr. Lennart.

"Today, we introduce for the first time in Qatar, the Mercedes Benz G500 4x4 with the existing DNA of the G series. Designed with a 422Bhp V8 petrol engine with sharper exterior of the G-Class ironically designed body. There is clearly no doubt that this vehicle represents what is essentially the most extreme production for off-road SUVs with high performance designed for the region."
