Mercedes-AMG Project One Concept at the Dubai Motor Show

The Mercedes-AMG Project One Concept is a Formula One car that’s barely disguised as a tarmac-eating rocket. The Project One is designed to be really fast and look stunning whilst doing so.

The exterior of the Mercedes-AMG Project One Concept bears little resemblance to a standard road car that wears a 3-pointed star. Aerodynamics play a major role in helping this rocket achieve some truly breathtaking speeds. Energy for propulsion comes from a 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 petrol engine, and powerful electric motors that all combine to develop 1,025 horsepower.

The Mercedes-AMG Project One Concept utilizes tough and lightweight carbon fiber in its construction. Also, just like in F1 cars, the rear suspension is bolted directly to the engine and the transmission. Hitting the throttle hard will result in the Project One pinning you to your seat, as it hits 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, and 200 km/h comes up in a mere 6! Keep the throttle open, and you will soon be on the other side of 350 km/h.
