Mercedes S Class Goes Off to a Flying Start

Posted by on Oct 22, 2013

The future is bright for the new S-Class. Not only is this car the pioneer of premium automotive technology but now it is going to be a reason for rejoice for the German economy as Mercedes has accepted a whopping 30,000 orders for S-Class in just three months in EU alone. Mind you, it is not a cheap car. We can accept these numbers for a Corolla as it is the best-selling car of all time and is highly economical. But this belongs to premium class of vehicles – a car that starts at roughly 360,000 AED - and 30,000 orders for that means customers really want this car.

A rough mathematical calculation reveals 30,000 units in 3 months averages 333 cars per day. In comparison, Mercedes sold 65,000 units in the whole 2012. If this continues then Mercedes will be on pace to double S-Class sales in 2013.
