At the 2019 International Conference for Future Mobility, MG Motor unveiled its first-ever full electric vehicle in the Middle East, the eagerly awaited MG ZS EV. Equipped with a single electric motor that drives the front wheels and produces 148 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, the electric SUV darts from 0 – 100km/h in 8.2-seconds and delivers a NEDC-approved range of 335km per charge.

Following in the footsteps of its global success in Europe and the United Kingdom, MG Motor is confident the ZS EV will be able to tackle the region’s demanding weather conditions. Having successfully completed a hot weather testing program in the UAE, the brand is ready to deliver reliable and affordable EVs to buyers in the region.

Tom Lee, Managing Director for MG Motor Middle East, said: “MG Motor Middle East is benefitting hugely from the brand’s global commitment to remain at the forefront of new energy development. Now, as the region’s major cities focus on becoming the smartest and most sustainable in the world, we can contribute to that vision of the future with our first-ever 100% electric vehicle.”

The new MG ZS EV is available to order (subject to market) with first deliveries taking place from January 2020.
