Mohit Gvalani And His Unique Volkswagen Golf R

When we think of hot hatches, cars like the Volkswagen Golf GTI and the Golf R are amongst the first that come to mind. Today, we speak to Mohit Gvalani, proud owner of a bright yellow Golf R to better understand his passion and to learn more about his very cool car.

What car do you currently drive?

I currently drive a 2016 MK7 Volkswagen Golf R.

Have you owned any interesting cars in the past?

Not really.

What got you into cars? 

Strange story, but it was my uncle's bright yellow Volkswagen Beetle many, many years ago that got me into cars. It was the first time I really fell in love with a car.

What is unique about your car? Have you customized it in any way? 

I have customized my car and you can say the yellow Beetle that my uncle owned definitely did inspire me in many ways. My Golf R is also yellow in color and since it is a 3-door model, it is quite rare here in the UAE. Other than that, I’ve also added a REVO Stage 1 tune to improve the performance a little bit.

Do you have any upgrades or modifications in the pipeline? 

To improve the overall look and stance of the car, I do plan on installing a set of lowering springs and new wheels in the coming months.

Tell me one car you would swap your current car for? 

Although there aren’t many cars I’d swap my car for, if there is one, it would have to be the Audi RS6 Avant. Man, I love that thing!
