The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that the traffic on the Trade Centre roundabout will soon come to an end as the parallel road linking First Al Khail Road (Road 312) with Shaikh Rashid Road will open by the end of this year.

“The South bridge, which starts opposite the Dubai World Trade Centre Convention Gate, will serve direct traffic from Shaikh Rashid Road to First Al Khail Road. The North bridge will serve direct traffic movement from First Al Khail Road to three exits, the first leading to Maktoum Bridge, the second to Oud Metha Road [east] and the third exit leading to Garhoud Bridge,” said Maitha Bin Udai, CEO of the RTA’s Traffic and Roads Agency.

Around 80% of the project is done and Maitha confirmed that it will be open for traffic by the end of 2013.
