Continental Middle East recently announced important changes made to its top brass. The world-famous German-origin tire manufacturer has welcomed José De la Fuente as the brand’s Managing Director for its Middle East operations. The new role has been a result of De la Fuente's exceptional performance during his time as the General Director at Continental Mexico, which led to the brand’s continued growth and success in the region.

Commenting on his new position at Continental Middle East, José De la Fuente stated, "It is a privilege to rejoin the Middle East team and build upon the solid foundation that has already been established. The Middle East is a strategically important market for Continental, and I look forward to collaborating with our talented team to deliver pioneering solutions that meet the evolving needs of our dealers, customers, and strategic partners."

Dustine Gascoyne, who was formerly the Managing Director at Continental Tyre Saudi Arabia, has now been appointed as the Sales Director for Continental Middle East. Turns out, Gascoyne’s much-earned new role comes in light of his hand that helped propel the company into the next chapter of growth. Moreover, Dustine Gascoyne is renowned within the company for his strong grasp and understanding of the workings and dynamics of the Middle East market.

"I am honoured to take on this role and contribute to the growth of Continental in the Middle East. I am eager to work closely with our dedicated team to bring our customers and partners the highest quality products and services, fostering long-lasting relationships and driving the brand forward,” Gascoyne said in a statement. As for the vacant position that Gascoyne left behind at Continental Saudi Arabia, that will be filled by the brand’s outgoing Head of Sales at Continental Middle East, Juan Uruburu Alonso.

Under the former Managing Director, Karel Kucera, the German tire manufacturer’s Middle East operations witnessed tremendous growth while simultaneously increasing its presence in the market. Kucera will now head the company’s Thailand operations. Continental was originally founded way back in 1871, celebrating its 151st anniversary in October 2022. Continental’s Tires division currently boasts two dozen production and development locations all over the world. The Continental Group’s total revenue from sales amounted to EUR 14 billion in 2022.
