Nico Rosberg wins the 2013 British Grand Prix

Posted by Samar Huneidi on Jul 3, 2013

Mercedes got their first victory in the British Grand Prix since 1955 at Silverstone, thanks to Nico Rosberg.

A number of rear-left tyre failures happened during the race, affecting Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, Jean-Eric Vergne (Toro Rosso), Felipe Massa (Ferrari) and Sergio Perez (Mclaren). Ahead of next week's German Grand Prix, Pirelli engineers will investigate the causes of these failures.

"At the moment, we can't really say much more until we have fully investigated and analyzed all of these incidents, which is our top priority," said Pirelli's motorsport director Paul Hembery.
