Nissan and Infiniti cars recalled in UAE

Due to a faulty brake torque, several new models of Nissan’s Pathfinder and Infiniti JX have been recalled.

Although the announcement has been made by the Ministry of Economy today though advertisements in the local media, the authorized distributors in Dubai said they were not aware of any such news.

The ministry of Economy said in an announcement that it was a joint decision between their Consumer Protection Department and Nissan Middle East FZE to recall the cars; which are the 2013 models.

The announcement says “A concern has been identified in the manufacturing process of the front brake torque member. This condition causes a structural weakness in the part, which can lead to development of cracks during vehicle operation.”

Official dealers in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and an official at Arabian Automobiles repeated the same sentence stating “So far we have not been intimated about any recall. Please leave your contact details and we will get back to you.”
