Posted by on Oct 30, 2017

Subcompact SUVs, in recent years, have had a sizeable impact on the Middle East’s car buying segment. Because of the amazing features, agility, and performance that each model provides, offerings such as the Nissan Juke and Kia Soul are not only excellent rivals but strong contenders in their class. Read through to find out which subcompact SUV has the edge over the other.

Exterior

If you will notice, these two cars are almost similar in exterior styling as well as other features such as torque output, horsepower, and fuel efficiency. Both models have quirky appearances that are really striking, even at first glance. But when it comes to edgier styling, the Kia Soul is the clear winner. The appealing contours and details of the Soul makes it look pricey without an expensive price tag.

Interior

Outside, the Juke and Soul seem to be fun-loving vehicles. But on the inside, you will see extreme styles that are truly distinctive. For instance, the Kia Soul is fitted with ventilated and heated seats, mood lighting, panoramic sunroof, and push to start button. The Nissan Juke, on the other hand, may also have some interesting features but they are minor compared to the Soul.

Performance

Directing power through a CVT transmission to a front-wheel setup, the Nissan Juke produces 117 horsepower and 158 Nm torque output. With the accelerator pedal depressed to the floor, it will accelerate to 100 km/h in 11.5-seconds and reach a top speed of 170 km/h.

On the other hand, the Kia Soul conceals a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine which generates 122 horsepower and 152 Nm torque. Pushing its grunt through a 6-speed automatic transmission, it is capable of hitting a top speed of 177 km/h.
