The Traffic and Patrols Directorate in Abu Dhabi has launched “Together”, which is an online awareness campaign aiming to reduce the amount of traffic accidents.

The police authorities are using social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and Twitter to spread the programme.

“This initiative aims to draw the attention of all sectors of society to this and the remaining campaigns launched by the Abu Dhabi Police throughout this year,” said Brigadier Hussain Ahmad Al Harithi, director of Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrol Directorate. “Going online means that we can get feedback from members of the society, and we have received an overwhelming response from our audience,” he added.

Rewards have been starting to go out to best school at traffic safety, best driver at road safety, best family at traffic safety and more to those who have no traffic fines or violations on their driving records.
