The Department of Public Parking at Sharjah Municipality has confirmed that motorists will have to continue paying for parking in certain areas of Sharjah during the upcoming Eid break. Despite most areas benefitting from free parking on Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha, motorists visiting popular hotspots will be subjected to hourly parking fees.

The areas that will not offer free parking are Al Hosn Boulevard in Al Shuwahain and Al Sheyoukh, the Bird and Animal Market in Al Jubail, Souq Al Markazi in Al Majaz, and Buhairah Corniche in Al Majaz 1, 2, and 3. All other areas of Sharjah will be exempted from paid parking between 19th and 24th August to celebrate Eid Al Adha.

Since March 2018, Sharjah Municipality ended free parking on weekends and public holidays in many popular areas following several complaints about vehicles being parked there for extended periods of time.
