Pink Women Taxis in Ajman

Ajman Public Transportation Corporation (APTC) launched their first ladies taxi service, named “Muhra taxi service”. The launching was on Thursday with 11 pink taxis, aiming to increase the number to 50 cars.


Ahmad Al Fourah, member of the corporation’s board of directors at APTC, said in a press conference held by APTC that they are keen to develop the transport sector in the emirate to give women more available options. He also mentioned that this new service is being launched on APTC’s eighth anniversary in cooperation with the Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Charity Foundation.


Ahmad Saqr Al Matroushi, director of the joint transport department at APTC said that the meter will start with Dh3.50 and the women drivers’ salaries will be Dh4,000 in addition to a percentage of the profit.
