Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi installs electric vehicle charging stations

Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi has taken a noble step and is leading the way within the region, with the installation of state-of-the-art electric vehicle charging stations at a prominent golf club in the Capital. Installed at Abu Dhabi Golf Club and in-line with Porsche’s global commitment to electric mobility and reduction of emissions, the E-Hybrid charging stations are expected to appeal to environmentally conscious golfers.

Also announced at the launch, was that the Cayenne S E-Hybrid will become the model of choice to chauffeur club members to the magnificent golf course. Being the first plug-in hybrid in the premium SUV segment, the Cayenne S E-hybrid is a testament to the brand’s advancement in alternative fuel technology.

Discussing the new charging stations and the new sponsorship agreement, Darren Abel, Brand Manager of Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi – Ali & Sons Co. stated: “We are thrilled to work in partnership with Abu Dhabi Golf Club towards creating awareness about the latest eco-friendly developments whilst entering into a sport many of our customers enjoy. Porsche enthusiasts can look forward to competing in the Porsche Golf Cup Qualifier where five finalists will earn the place to represent Abu Dhabi at the Porsche Golf Cup World final played in Mallorca next year.”

The introduction of new E-Hybrid charging stations in Abu Dhabi, reflect a key part of the German marque’s stand to make electric mobility more accessible to the general public.
