Recalling car recalls made easier!

Posted by Mansoor A. Bukhari on Aug 24, 2014

Recently, all we hear in the news is about cars being recalled and GM has been the target of scrutiny for quite a long time. Well, now US vehicle safety regulators have launched a website called SaferCar.gov which allows the customer to check for the possibility of recalls for any car brand simply by entering the unique Vehicle Identification Number. This is because only 75 percent of recalled cars are sent back to the manufacturers by customers for fixing and the government hopes this website will increase that rate. To show the importance of this issue, this year, 43 million cars have been recalled in the US.

We hope and pray that a similar regulatory body and website gets launched in Middle East region as well.
